The Anniversary of Death

Here it is once more. The day itself comes and goes but the feelings never end...

The Anniversary of Death

Never doubt that I'm here,
thinking of you,
missing you,
waiting for you.

Since you left,
our home feels empty,
but my heart is overflowing
with memories and dreams
for our tomorrows.

And when you return,
I'll wrap my arms around you
and hold you tight,
and all will be right
with the world.

I love you! I hope you are proud!

Fading Heart

Fading Heart

Pain is Life

Falling apart-come

Catch the pieces-

Like that of my Heart

You let them fall

Let them Fade

I am the-Darkness-

You have made

You watch me hide

You watch me fall-

I Scream-I Cry-
Through it all

I thought it Best

To take these Pills-

To keep the Secrets-

Of this-Prison Cell-

Destroyed Youth

Destroyed Youth (3 men and how war affects all)

A young man,

Barely old enough to buy alcohol.

College was never an option, the Marines was all he had to make something of himself.

Now a prisoner of war, reflecting on life...

On what he could have done differently,

On whom he could have become,

On how he let life slip away.

Mortars exploding all around him, screams coming from the wounded.

Enemies screaming foreign languages, so much hatred,

Every day he is a hostage, the young man regrets his decisions,

Not knowing whether death waits today or tomorrow.

Trapped...

A middle-aged man,

Recieving the position yearned for.

As general, the news of the young prisoner pulls on his heartstrings.

Memories triggered of his own experience,

once trapped but now free.

His own beloved country, seeking the needed natural resources,

Resorting in killing thousands of innocent souls,

Dreams and lives of families,

His own beloved country, sought for revenge,

Destroying,

Yet assisting a struggling nation.
